Döbling is located in the north-west of the city, between the Vienna Forest , the Danube and the Danube Canal .
The area has some of the most expensive and prestigious residential areas in Vienna: Grinzing, Sievering , Neustift am Walde and Kaasgraben. However, there are several large municipal residential buildings in Döbling, including the most famous Karl-Marx-Hof in Vienna.
Etymology
The first mention of Döbling dates back to 1114 "de Teopilic" . This name is of Slavic origin "Teplik" [1]
