Thomsen, Knud Leif

In the cinema since 1957. He started as a documentary filmmaker . During the period from 1960 to 1975, he directed 14 films as a director. His first feature film “ Duel ” (1962) was included in the competition program of the 12th Berlin International Film Festival and immediately attracted the attention of the audience.

Two years later, Thomsen’s film “ School for Suicides ” was included in the competition program of the 14th Berlin International Film Festival in 1964.

In 1965, his film "Girl Tine" became a member of the 4th Moscow International Film Festival .

Thomsen’s 1969 film “In the High of the Jazz Season” was included in the competition program of the 6th Moscow International Film Festival , and the 1973 film “Lina's Wedding” was included in the competition program of the 8th Moscow International Film Festival (film presented from Norway).

In 1967, Knud Leif Thomsen was a jury member at the 17th Berlin International Film Festival .

Since 1977 he lived in France. The author of mainly psychological, social and moral cinema dramas.
