Biography
She was born in 1926 in the village of Pershotravnevoe of the Dnepropetrovsk region of the Ukrainian SSR in a Ukrainian peasant family. She graduated from high school.
In 1946, she got a job at the Kuybyshev state farm in the Nikopol district. In the future, she began to work as a unit manager in a field crew. In 1948, its link received a high yield of wheat of 31.1 centners per hectare on an area of 20 hectares [1] .
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of April 16, 1949, Anna Illarionovna Samko was awarded the title of Hero of Socialist Labor for receiving a high wheat crop with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Hammer and Sickle medal.
She continued to work at the state farm. She was appointed team leader and then commandant of the 4th division of the state farm. In September 1982 she retired.
She lived in her native village. She died in 2007.
