Labanora Regional Park ( lit. Labanoro regioninis parkas ) is a regional park of Lithuania , located 80 kilometers northeast of Vilnius in the Švenčyon , Molet and Utena regions . The park is located in Labanoras . It was founded in 1992 in order to preserve the landscape of the Labanoras forest and its lakes, its natural ecosystem and cultural heritage values [1] . This is the largest regional park in the country [2] , whose area is 55344 hectares [3] . The regional park in the northeast borders on the Aukstaiti National Park .

Description
There are about 70 lakes in the park; they make up 13% of the total park area [4] . Horse marshes and other wetlands cover an area of 30 km². Thirty streams and 3 rivers flow through the park. Forests (mainly pine) make up 80% (400 km²) of the total park area.
The park is home to 54 species of mammals, 172 species of birds, 5 species of reptiles and 11 species of amphibians. Spawning salmon in small rivers, which due to warm water sources do not completely freeze in winter, is a natural wealth of the park.
Mammals are represented by beavers, otters and moose. Among the nesting birds: black-throated loon , dunlin , osprey , bittern , crane , black stork , kingfisher , herd and grouse . The park is home to the densest white stork population in Europe [5] .
The species diversity of plants in the Labanoras Regional Park is very high. Botanists consisted of 120 different marsh willow bushes, 300 flower stems of marsh gentian , 80 thousand spotted palmate root , 2300 water lobelia and 200 water lilies .
In the regional park Labanoras there are also places with archaeological, architectural, ethnographic and historical values [6] .
In 2015, a 36-meter observation tower was opened near the village of Mindunai in the regional park [7] .
