Content
History
The commune is named after Saint Gouesnou, Bishop of Leon . 1 km west of Guenu, traces of a large settlement of the Gallo-Rismo period were found. In the Middle Ages, Guenu played an important role - a monastery was founded here, which was often chosen by their bishops Leon. In the XIV century, a powerful fortress was built here, which was unofficially named the Bastille of Saint-Guen.
