History
Chuvash State Theater of Young Spectators named after Mikhail Sespel was founded in Cheboksary [1] . The first performance “Young layer” (“Topey”) based on the play by L. Bochin took place on April 3, 1933 - this day is considered the birthday of the Youth Theater. Its founders are Edwin Davidovich Feuertag and Margarita Nikolaevna Figner - Leningrad directors, teachers and educators of the future theater collective.
A special acting set at the Chuvash Music and Theater College became the basis of the theater for children and youth of the republic. Performances were played in Chuvash and Russian.
In 2017, the theater found its home in the building of the Cespel Cinema at 33/9 Mskovsiy Prospekt.

Chuvash State Order of Friendship of Peoples Youth Theater. M. Sespel performs productions based on the works of Chuvash, Russian and foreign playwrights in the Chuvash and Russian languages. Currently, the theater’s current repertoire includes 23 performances, of which 4 performances were staged in the first half of 2007 : “The Test of the Magician” by V. Gin, “Relatives” by A. Zaitsev, “Golden Chicken” by V. Orlov, “Baby and Carlson” Astrid Lindgren .
Due to the fact that the theater has the opportunity to work in a hospital only 15 days a month, much attention is paid to touring and visiting activities. According to the results of the first half of 2007, the theater showed 55 performances in the regions of the republic, 19 - outside the republic. In April 2004, the theater successfully conducted a small tour in Moscow as part of the international festival " Moscow - the city of peace", in August 2004 - took part in the International Theater Festival " Istanbul - Prostor - Theater", held in Istanbul ( Turkey ) with the play “77 wife of Don Juan from Cemetery Avenue” by B. Chindykov, N. Kazakov.
The theater takes an active part in the annual republican competition of theatrical art "ĕntĕrlар charshav". The performances “ Three Sisters ” by A.P. Chekhov , “Dogs” by K. Sergienko are recognized as the best performances, the artists - V.I. Pavlov, P.I. Chamzhaeva-Vladimirova, S. P are recognized as the best performers of the main and episodic roles in different years. Vladimirov, O. V. Mikhailova.
