Biography
Born in Gotha on February 7, 1803 [1] .
In 1828 he graduated from Jena University with a doctorate in medicine from the dissertation βDe polyporum cordis genuinorum natura et origineβ (Jena, 1828) [1] . In the same year he entered the Russian service, was with the Baltic Fleet in Nikolaev , then a senior doctor at the Naval Hospital in Sevastopol [1] .
He died in Sevastopol in February 1855 [1] .
