Sports career
The first notable success of Maria Semenyuk was a silver medal at the European Judo Championship among cadets in 2000. Subsequently, she won medals of all virtues, including the highest, at the European and World Sambo Championships. In 2003, Semenyuk won a bronze medal in judo competitions at the Universiade in Daegu. In 2007, she became the silver medalist of the III Ukrainian sports games in judo competitions.
