Biography
Alexander Romanov was born in the city of Izmail , Odessa region on January 18, 1953.
In 1975 she received a diploma of higher education, graduated from the Saratov Institute of Agricultural Mechanization. M.I. Kalinin , received the qualification "mechanical engineer". In 1991, he graduated in absentia from the Volga Social and Political Institute [1] .
He began his career in 1975 as a teacher of social sciences in Bazarno-Karabulak SSPTU № 5, Saratov region. In 1980 and for 11 years he worked as an instructor, head of the propaganda and agitation department, first secretary of the Bazarno-Karabulak district committee of the CPSU [2] .
From 1991 to 1994 - Director of Bazarno-Karabulak procurement office. From 1994 to 1996 he worked as director of the Bazarno-Karabulak brick factory.
In 1996 he moved to work in the municipal authorities, deputy head of the administration of the Bazarno-Karabulaksky district. In the same year he was appointed director of Bazarno-Karabulak vocational school No. 59.
On September 8, 2005 he was elected head of the Bazarno-Karabulak region.
From 2006 to 2012 - the head, chairman of the Assembly of Deputies of the Bazarno-Karabulak region. On June 16, 2012 he was appointed head of the administration of the Bazarno-Karabulak region.
On October 15, 2012, he moved to the city of Saratov, where he was appointed to the position of managing director of the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation in the Saratov Region. In 2013, he was elected a deputy of the Saratov Regional Duma of the fifth convocation [3] .
In September 2017, he was elected a deputy of the Saratov Regional Duma of the sixth convocation. In April 2019, he was elected to the post of Chairman of the Saratov Regional Duma [4] .

Married, two daughters.
Awards and titles

In March 2004, by the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation he was awarded the title “Honored Teacher of the Russian Federation”.
