It was formed on September 24, 1919 in Kiev as an armored auxiliary train No. 7. It obeyed the 2nd railway battalion . Until February 1920 , it bore the name "Zhelbat-1." In February 1920, it was renamed "Student." The train crew consisted of 6 officers and 60 volunteers , mainly students . The commander is Lieutenant Shimkevich. [1] [2]
The armored train "Student" consisted of an armored area with one compartment and an armored area with 7 machine guns . He participated in the hostilities from October 1919 on the Chernigov - Ichnia railway line. February 24, 1920 during the retreat of the white troops in the direction of the Crimea, the armored train was hit by the "Reds" in front of the bridge over the Sivash Bay. One armored area of the Student armored train and its crew were transferred to the Glory of the Kuban armored train. [1] [2]
