Umm-en-Namil [1] [2] [3] (Jazirat-Umm-en-Namal, Arabic. ايرة ام النم ) is an uninhabited island with an area of 0.569 square kilometers, belonging to Kuwait 600 meters from the mainland, in Kuwait Bay in Persian Gulf . It is fifth in size after Bubiyan , Failaki , Varba and Mascan . This is the habitat for a variety of marine creatures, such as crabs, shrimp and fish, as well as a nesting place for large flocks of birds [4] . On the islands of Umm en Namil and Failaka, remains of fragments of ancient ships of the early Dilmun , Cassite , Hellenistic and early Islamic periods were found. These are bitumen plates from the central (fault zone from Khita to Abu Jir) and northern (near Mosul ) Iraq . One of the fragments is from the Big Burgan [5] . On the island there are traces of the former high urban culture [6] . In the north-eastern part of the island is a solar-powered lighthouse, which is a 16-meter square tower with a metal frame. The focal plane is located at a height of 17 meters. The beacon gives one white flash every 10 seconds. The lighthouse marks the passage to the port of Al Jahra in the western part of Kuwait Bay [7] .
