Isuapan ( Spanish: Ixhuapan ) is a village in the southeastern part of Mexico , in the state of Veracruz . It is part of the Akayukan municipality.

Geographical position
Isuapan is located in the southeastern part of the state, approximately 267 kilometers southeast of the city of Jalapa Enriques , the state’s administrative center. The absolute height is 88 meters above sea level [1] .
Population
According to data obtained during the official census of 2005, 1315 people (669 men and 646 women) lived in the village. There were 297 houses. According to the age range, the population was distributed as follows: 44% - residents under 18 years old, 49% - between 18 and 59 years old and 7% - aged 60 years and older. The literacy rate among residents over 15 years old was 87.7% [2] .
According to the 2010 census, the population of Isuapan was 1,356 people [3] . The dynamics of the population of the village by years:
