Congregacion Hidalgo ( Spanish: Congregación Hidalgo ) is a village in the southeastern part of Mexico , in the state of Veracruz . It is part of the Akayukan municipality.

Geographical position
Congregacion Hidalgo is located in the southeastern part of the state, approximately 265 kilometers southeast of the city of Jalapa Enriques , the state’s administrative center. The absolute height is 82 meters above sea level [1] .
Population
According to data obtained during the official census of 2005, 1242 people lived in the village (570 men and 672 women). There were 316 houses. According to the age range, the population was distributed as follows: 42% - residents under 18 years old, 50% - between 18 and 59 years old and 8% - aged 60 years and older. The literacy rate among residents over 15 years old was 84.8% [2] .
According to the 2010 census, the population of Congregacion-Hidalgo was 1290 people [3] . The dynamics of the population of the village by years:
