In 1905, a railway was laid through Novonezhino, which stretched to the village of Anisimovka , and then there was a narrow-gauge railway. At first, the station was called Nezhino, and in 1906 it was renamed Novonezhino [3] .

Airfield

Before World War II, a field airfield was built on the western outskirts of the village, to which a squadron of R-5 planes in the version of torpedo bombers — the 26th light bomber AE, which was the first mine torpedo — was deployed from the Moscow Military District (mon. Monino) in 1935. aviation part of the Far East. Disassembled aircraft were transported by rail. In total, the squadron staff had 31 aircraft, but for various reasons only 16 aircraft were assembled and brought to flight status, the rest lay in boxes. In 1936, the squadron became part of the 125th heavy naval aviation brigade. By the first of December of this year, all 31 aircraft were assembled, 4 were listed "in repair". Torpedo bridges were installed on the planes - this was the first part of torpedo bombers on the Pacific Fleet. The base airfield squadron remained air. Novonezhino.

In 1937, the 27th separate (training) aviation air defense detachment was formed at the Novonezhino airfield. The main task of the detachment was to tow cones-targets when practicing firing with fighters and anti-aircraft gunners. In service were aircraft SB.

From May 1, 1938, the 26th Aviation Squadron ceased to be an independent unit and merged into the 4th Mining and Torpedo Regiment, without changing its location.

From July 1, 1952, the 49th MTAP departed to retrain to the Aer. Ukrainian on Tu-14 planes. After retraining, the regiment relocated to the hard-surface West Knevichi airfield, since the short unpaved runway did not allow heavy jet aircraft to be operated.

On August 5, 1952, the control of the 861st fighter aviation division of the Pacific Fleet Air Force was formed at the Novonezhino airfield, and the 57th OIAP (former 17th IAP) was relocated. In November 1979, about 30 members of the staff of the Air Force of the Pacific Fleet were sent to Ethiopia. The group was made up of officers and warrant officers of the 4th AE of the 710th Helicopter Regiment, including two helicopter crews. The group was based at the airfield of Asmar for more than 10 years, supporting the activities of the Il-38 aircraft of the 77th OPLAPS of the Pacific Fleet Air Force and of the 933rd Aircraft Defense Forces of the 8th operational squadron of the Soviet Navy. Two Mi-8 helicopters were received from the AER. Kacha and brought by sea, the personnel of the group worked on a rotational basis.

In 1980, the regiment's air group was based on the hospital ship Ob, which made the transition from the Baltic to the Pacific Fleet through Africa.

In 1983, the 51st separate anti-submarine helicopter squadron was formed at the aerodrome on Mi-6 , Mi-8 and Mi-14 helicopters . In the same year, the crews of the helicopter regiment transported 4 helicopters aboard the Alexander Nikolaev BDK received by the BF Air Force by sea. The hike took place around Africa. In the summer of this year, two Mi-14PL helicopters and one Mi-14PS helicopter were distilled along the route Novonezhino - Khabarovsk - Mongohto - Korsakov - about. Simushir (Kuril Islands). The group of helicopters was in the lead of the Be-12 of the 289th OPLAP.

In 1986, 10 Ka-27PL helicopters were driven from Nikolaevka to Syzran, where they were transferred to the Syzran Air Force Academy. In November of this year, from the 710th OKPVP (as it was called since 1983), two Mi-14PL and one Mi-14PS helicopters were transferred to the Kamran base. In 1992, the crews of the 710th regiment took part in eliminating the consequences of the explosion of the arsenal of the Pacific Fleet on the Second River in Vladivostok. On May 1, 1998, the 710th OKPLVP and the 289th OPLAP from Nikolaevka were merged into one of the 289th OPLAP. The 2nd helicopter squadron was formed in the antisubmarine regiment. The dislocation of the regiment remained the same - the Nikolaevka garrison.

For a long time at the Novonezhino airfield there was a freelance transport detachment of Mi-8 helicopters, the main task of which was to transport the commander of the Pacific Fleet and senior personnel in the Primorsky Territory. On duty around the clock were two helicopter-cabin Mi-8, the main and backup.

An interesting feature was the location of the airfield: everything was built very compactly and practically “in two steps” from the residential zone - the parking of MI-8 transport vehicles and the command and control center literally 30 meters from the houses. However, due to the low noise level, the residents did not create any special problems.

In the 21st century, the airfield is used by small aircraft for amateur flights and parachute jumps.
