“Wooden Eagle” ( Tsar Masters, the Sunflower Kingdom ) is the plot of Eastern Slavic folk tales. In the Index of Fairy Plots (CMS) Aarne has the number 575 “Wooden Eagle (Dove)” [1] . The plot is fixed in all East Slavic peoples: 25 Russian, 5 Ukrainian and 2 Belarusian variants are marked. The plot is common in the Russian North and differs only in details: usually the father is locked up in the tower by the father ( Onchukov , Nikiforov ); Variant Korguyev (No. 5) modernizes it by adding an episode about a son forgotten by his parents. In Zaonezhie, this story is also found in the form of a tale (“The Sunflower Kingdom.” Rybnikov ). The variant in the recording by A. Shakhmatova is partially contaminated with the fairy tale “ Finist the Clear Falcon ” [2] .
