Rauan Mikhailovich Shaekin (born July 12, 1962 ; Karkaralinsk , Karaganda region ) is a Kazakhstani political and public figure. Member of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan (1999—2016).

Biography
Rauan Mikhailovich Shaekin Born in 1962 in the city of Karkaralinsk, Karaganda region. It originates from the subgenus Shor of the Karakessek clan of the Argyn tribe .
In 1983 he graduated from the Karaganda Higher School of the USSR Ministry of Internal Affairs with a degree in law.
In 1998 he graduated from Karaganda State University. E. A. Buketova, specializing in economics.
In 2004 he graduated from the Academy of Diplomatic Service of the Eurasian State University named after L.N. Gumilyov, majoring in International Relations, and received the qualification of a specialist in international relations.
In 2006 he defended the academic title of candidate of legal sciences, the theme of the dissertation: "The constitutional foundations of the functioning of the political system of the Republic of Kazakhstan."
