Limnocnida (Latin) is a genus of jellyfish from the family Olindiidae of the order Limnomez , one of two genus of freshwater jellyfish. Representatives of the genus are common in India and Africa .

At the stage of a polyp has a size of 0.1-0.5 mm, a jellyfish in diameter of 15-20 mm.
Distinctive features of the genus: the manubrium is wide and short, the oral opening is round, without blades, the gonads develop on the manubrium.
