In an interview with Kerrang! in January 2019, Richard Kruspe noted that five music videos would also be created for the album. Teasers containing visual effects were released as late as March ^[9] . “At first, I didn’t believe that we would actually release another Rammstein album - it’s so painful,” said band guitarist Richard Kruspe. “Last time we almost broke up ... and I was very, very nervous about it.” But [in the process] we learned to respect and trust each other - and suddenly I realized that everything felt like it was in the beginning. The circle suddenly began to close ” ^{[10] [11]} . On March 28, 2019, the song “ Deutschland ” was released, which became the leading single of the album on digital platforms, and its nearly 10-minute music video was uploaded to YouTube ^[12] . The single also included a remix by Kruspe ^[13] . On the same day, March 28, the group officially announced the album's release date - May 17, 2019, but they did not disclose the cover or title ^[14] . The video scored 19 million views in just four days ^[15] . The single “Deutschland” was released on April 12 on vinyl and CD , along with a remix of Kruspe ^[16] . The track list was made public from April 16 to April 19 on the group's YouTube channel with fragments (no more than 30 seconds) from each song. Also on April 18, the future album cover was shown there ^[17] . Less than a week later, the group published a teaser for the song " Radio ", which was released on April 26 ^[18] . On May 15, 2 days before the official release date, the album was posted unknown on a number of Russian and foreign torrent trackers. On May 26, a teaser for the video for the song “Ausländer” was published on the group’s Facebook page . The video premiered on May 28 ^[19] . The single for the song was released on May 31 ^{[3] [4]} .

The album received universal acclaim from critics. The album aggregator Metacritic has an average rating of 82 points out of 100 possible, based on 11 reviews ^[21] . Wall of Sound gave the album a score of 9.5 / 10, stating: “Rammstein seems to be the culmination of the previous six studio albums, taking the best parts of the last few decades and combining them into one album and adding a few unexpected surprises.” ^[thirty]
