Znamensky cheese-making plant is a food industry enterprise in the town of Znamenka, Kirovograd Oblast of Ukraine , which ceased to exist.

History
1965 - 1991
Znamensky Butter-Making Plant was built in accordance with the seventh five-year plan for the development of the national economy of the USSR . In 1965, it was put into operation and became the largest enterprise of the dairy industry in the Kirovograd region [1] .
At the beginning of 1972, the plant processed up to 40 tons of milk for cheese and up to 8 tons of cream for the highest-grade butter during the shift [1] . In the future, due to the change in the range of products, the company received the name Znamensky cheese-making factory [2] [3] [4] .
In general, in Soviet times, the plant was among the largest enterprises of the city [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] .
After 1991
After the proclamation of independence of Ukraine, the state enterprise was transformed into an open joint stock company [6] .
In May 1995, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the decision on the privatization of the plant [6] .
In 1999, the plant stopped work. On May 4, 2001, an arbitration court of the Kirovograd region declared the Znamensky cheese-making factory a bankrupt and began the liquidation procedure of the enterprise [7] .
