Zenon Valentinovich Lovkis (born 1946) - Soviet and Belarusian scientist in the field of agricultural mechanization, Doctor of Technical Sciences (1990), professor (1991), corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (2009), Honored Scientist of Belarus (2013).

Biography
Born on October 5, 1946 in the village of Mozheiki in the Postavsky district of the Vitebsk region in a peasant family. He graduated from the Yarevskaya eight-year school (1961), Gorodok College of Mechanization and Electrification of Agriculture (1966), Moscow Institute of Agricultural Engineers named after V.P. Goryachkina (1971) and his graduate school (1974). He worked there: assistant, senior lecturer, associate professor. In 1975 he defended his thesis.
- 1981-1989 Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Theory of Mechanisms and Machines of the Belarusian Institute of Agricultural Mechanization.
- 1989-1997 Head of the Department of Hydraulics and Hydraulic Machines of the Belarusian State Agrarian Technical University.
- 1997-1999 Head of the Main Department of Education and Personnel of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Belarus.
- 1999-2000 professor at the Belarusian State Polytechnical Academy.
- 2000-2001 Head of the Main Department of Science, Education, Standardization and Personnel of the Belgospischeprom Concern.
- 2001-2006 Director General of the Republican Unitary Enterprise "Belarusian Research and Design Institute of Food Products".
- 2006-present - Director General of the Republican Unitary Enterprise “Scientific and Practical Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus for Food”.
Doctor of Technical Sciences (1990, topic of the dissertation “Intensification of technological processes of potato cultivation by active working bodies”), professor (1991), corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (2009), honored worker of science of Belarus (2013). Foreign member of RAAS (2010).
He is the author of scientific papers on agricultural machines, processes and apparatuses of the food processing industry, and technologies for the production and processing of potatoes. Books:
