Theoklimen (or Theoklimen, ancient Greek. Знаεοκλύμενος “who knows about gods”) is a character of ancient Greek mythology [1] [2] . Repeatedly mentioned in the Odyssey . Polyphid's son, grandson of Mantle . Veschun from the city of Hyperesia in Argolis .
The soothsayer [3] , who left Argos because of the murder. In Sparta , Telemachus met him and took him to Ithaca [4] . He informed Penelope about Odysseus 's stay on Ithaca and predicted their destruction to the suitors.
Mentioned by Hesiod [5] . According to Mimnerm, the beloved of Ismena [6] .
In the version of the myth of Elena the Beautiful , narrated by Euripides in the tragedy “Elena” , Theoklimen is the king of Lower Egypt , the son of Proteus [7] [8] .
