Often claiming to have big sleep problems, Moby tried to find music that helped him sleep better. In 2016, Moby released an album that was supposed to help people calm down, reduce stress and solve sleep problems. Long Ambients 2 was the continuation of the album, released 3 years later [1] . Moby himself on the main page of his site about the second release says the following [2] :
One of the things that excites me in this second album is that if you combine it with the first album, “Long ambient”, you get more than seven hours of very quiet music. I hope all this could give someone a whole night of sleep. I propose not to treat the album as music, but to approach it as a means to achieve sleep or an instrument. Original text One of the things that excites me about this second record is if you combine it with the first 'long ambient' album, it's more than seven hours of very quiet music. My hope is that it could actually see someone through an entire night of sleep. My suggestion is to not approach this as music, but to approach it as a sleep aid or tool.
