Ruben Vargas (born August 5, 1998 , Adligenswil , Switzerland ) is a Swiss football player of Dominican descent ^[1] , forward of the Lucerne club.

Club

Ruben began playing football on a children's team from his hometown, Adligenville. In 2008, he joined the youth team of Lucerne .

On August 27, 2017, the striker made his debut in the Swiss Super League , replacing him in a meeting with Zurich ^[2] . April 2, 2018 Vargas marked the first goal scored ^[3] .

August 9, 2018 held the first game in European competition, playing with the Greek “ Olympiacos ” in the qualifying stage of the Europa League 2018/19 ^[4] .

Ruben as part of the youth national team of Switzerland took part in the matches of the qualifying tournament for the European Championship 2019 ^[5] .
