Biography
Born May 30, 1949 in the town of Paleo on the island of Samos, in the family of Konstantinos Pistolis and Marudio Skordu and was baptized on September 3, 1949. From childhood, he attended a church where he met Archimandrite John (Papalis) (later Metropolitan Sidorokastriysky), which inspired the boy to take the holy dignity [2] .
He received his primary education in Karlovasi, and later studied at the Rizarii Church School (Ριζάρειος Εκκλησιαστική Σχολή) in Athens and then graduated from the Theological Institute of the University of Athens . He was a member of the missionary monastic fraternity "Παναγία Χρυσοπηγή".
On July 6, 1972, he was tonsured a monk with the name Eusebius, and on July 7 he was ordained hierodeacon by Metropolitan Gregory of Nicaea in the Holy Cross Exaltation Parish of Egaleo . He served as a deacon in the Athenian Archdiocese and as an archdeacon in the Dimitriad Metropolis.
On November 28, 1976, Metropolitan Rogonsky Kallinik was ordained hieromonk and served as a preacher, and later as head of the church department of the Greek police, taught at police and fire schools.
On July 19, 1995, he was elected to be ordained Metropolitan of Samoski as the Holy Synod of the Greek Orthodox Church. On July 22, 1995, his bishop consecration took place [3] , and on September 10, 1995, intronization .
On September 20, 2017, he sent a letter of protest to the Prime Minister of Greece in connection with the massive influx of refugees, which has become a problem for many Greek islands.
