V̈ , v̈ ( V with umlaut ) - the letter of the extended Latin alphabet. It is used in the scripts of two languages of the west of the island of Espiritu Santo - Araki , where it denotes the sound [ ð̼ / β / ð ] and is the 23rd letter of the alphabet [1] , and mafea where denotes lingual-labial [ ð̼ ] [2] . In these languages with the same phonetic meaning, the letters M̈ and P̈ are also used.
