Biography
On February 4, 1927, in the village of Shishur, Vasily Polyanin was born in the family of a Mari peasant. He began his career as riders on a horse at the Karl Marx Pektubayevsky collective farm. After completing the courses of tractor operators at the collective farm MTS, in 1946 he began working as a tractor driver on the collective farm "40 years of October." In 1960 he was appointed foreman of machine operators.
On the SK-3 combine, instead of the prescribed rate of 8 hectares, he cleaned 15–20 hectares of crops each day. According to the results of the 7th Five-Year Plan, Polyanin became the best mechanic in the Mari Republic.
By a decree dated June 23, 1966, Vasily Polyanin was awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor with the Order of Lenin and the Sickle and Hammer gold medal for obtaining high rates of harvest.
Since 1985, was on a well-deserved rest.
In recent years he lived in Yoshkar-Ola. He died January 28, 1995.
