She was known mainly as a performer of baroque and medieval material - in particular, opera parties and madrigals of Monteverdi . Several generations of Swiss vocalists studied with Gaviller - in particular, Fritz Nef , Nicklaus Tüller , Sylvia Schmid, Catherine Graf, Walter Mayer, Annelise Ritzmann and others.
