History

The ancient village of Bunyakovo, located on the banks of the river Malaya Severka (Gnilush). The history of Bunyakovo dates back to the sixteenth century - during the time of Tsar John the Terrible. In the XVI century, the village of Bunyakovo belonged to the well-known governor, the brave Prince Ivan Yurievich Lobanov-Rostovsky (voivode in 1572 in Turovla, and in 1574-1576 in Rugodivl). From him, the village passed to the governor Vasily Andreevich Zvenigorodsky (in 1615-1616 the governor in Kolomna). Prince V.A. Zvenigorodsky led, in particular, the construction of a fortress in Smolensk in 1595.

In 1616, Tsar Mikhail Fyodorovich Romanov, the village of Bunyakovo was granted to Fedor Shusherin.

According to the scribe book of 1627-1628, Bunyakovo was considered a village in the Moscow district, there was a courtyard of the landowner with tenants - three peasants. The following lands belonged to the village: arable land - 9 acres, "fallow and overgrown forest" - 70 acres, mowing - 5 acres and "uncultivated forest" - 7 acres. At that time in the village was the yard of Timofei Zvenigorodsky, a relative of V.A. 3 of Venigorodsky, which also owned several neighboring wastelands: Ryabtsevo, Koshenevo, Khodorovo. According to the census of 1678, in the village of Bunyakovo there was a landowner’s yard and 3 peasant yards, in which 26 men lived.

An ancient road passed from the village from the village of Bronniche to the village of Podol. During the reign of Catherine II, these villages became cities. From ancient times, the trade route ran from Bronnitsy to Podolsk, but it has become especially lively since 1729, when fairs began to be organized in the village of Nikitsky.

At the end of the eighteenth century, in the village of Bunyakovo there were 26 peasant households with 141 inhabitants. Over the eighteenth century, several owners changed in the village of Bunyakovo.

The wooden church in the name of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Bunyakovo was built by the owner of the village Anastasia Fedorovna Medvedeva, the village began to be called "Pokrovskoye village, Bunyakovo identity."

In the early eighties of the eighteenth century, Princess Anastasia Ivanovna Nesvitskaya began to own the village of Bunyakovo. She belonged to the famous family of princes Nesvitsky.

From the "Noble Clans of the Russian Empire" it is known that the first princes of Nesvitsky were, in all probability, the Rurikovichs - descendants of the Svyatoslavichs. Prince Yuri Nesvitsky died in the battle with the Mongols on the Kalka River in 1224.

Princess Anastasia Ivanovna in 1809 undertook the construction of a new stone church of the Protection of the Holy Virgin. Construction was carried out in a new place. The church was built for many years. As can be seen from the documents in 1813, the service was conducted in the old wooden church. The stone church was consecrated only in 1817. During the construction period, Princess A.I. Nesvitskaya died and in this regard the church was not finished.

Architecturally, the church was a quadruple crowned with a rotunda, with an apse and a refectory. Four-columned porticoes were decorated with side entrances. The church was built of white stone. Windows are located in flat niches. The three-tier bell tower is also made of white stone, an architecturally simple form, but beautiful in design. The white-stone church in the village of Bunyakovo is a three-altered: the central throne - in the name of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos, the left - in the name of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker and the right - in the name of St. Demetrius of Rostov. The temple in the village of Bunyakovo stood until the end of the nineteenth century without major repairs and needed renovation by the beginning of the twentieth century.

By this time, in the village of Bunyakovo there were 30 courtyards with 198 inhabitants, and the parish of the village of Ryabtsevo consisted of 8 courtyards with 48 inhabitants. The inhabitants were poor and therefore could not make repairs of the church on their own, as the peasants were forced to pay for the purchase of land and service.

In 1900, the deceased widow of a commercial adviser, Alexandra Konstantinovna Medvednikova, bequeathed 3,000 rubles to the Church of the Intercession. The clerk of the widow N. A. Tsvetkov donated this money to the church. The names of the deceased and relatives were recorded in the Synod for eternal remembrance. The church’s parishioner, Moscow tradesman Arkady Matveevich Tsyganov, also contributed money to the repair of the church. Repair of the temple was completed in the summer of 1901, and on July 29, 1901 the temple was consecrated. In August of that year, the consecration of the chapels of the Intercession Church was performed: in the name of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker and St. Demetrius of Rostov.

After 1917, Church property and land were seized from the Church of the Intercession. In 1935 the church was closed, and the rector of the church, Archpriest Andrei, was arrested and deported. Bells were dropped from the bell tower; after the war, a chemical fertilizer warehouse was built in the church.

The temple was reopened on September 8, 1990, on the day of the celebration of the Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God, when the first Divine Liturgy was served. In 1995, priest Alexander Pakhomov was appointed rector of the church.

From this day, the restoration of the shrine began: it was necessary to erect a bell tower, almost re-erect many engineering structures. On September 26, 1999, Metropolitan Juvenal of Krutitsy and Kolomna consecrated the throne in the name of the Protection of the Holy Virgin in the church of the village of Bunyakovo.

Divine services are performed on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays.
