Content
Format
The format of the tournament remained the same as last season . The matches of the Lithuanian Cup will be held during one calendar year. A League clubs will start the tournament with 1/16 finals. Winners of pairs at all stages are determined by the results of one match.
According to the regulations, clubs of the League A, League I and II are obliged to take part in the Lithuanian Cup. Clubs III, IV and lower leagues, as well as veteran teams were supposed to apply until April 5, but was extended until April 14. After receiving the applications, the format of the tournament was determined.
In the 1st round 26 clubs participated. The draw determined 12 teams that played in pairs of 6 places in the next stage, and 14 clubs that went directly to the next stage. The draw took place on April 19, 2019.
In the 2nd round, 48 clubs participated: 20 teams from the 1st round (including the winners of 6 pairs) and 28 clubs of the I and II leagues. The draw took place on April 19, 2019.
In the 3rd round 32 clubs participated: 24 teams from the 2nd round and 8 A League clubs. The draw took place on May 8, 2019.
The winners of the previous rounds participated in 1/8, 1/4, 1/2 and the final. The draw for the 1/8 finals took place on May 30, the 1/4 finals on July 4, 2018.
Matches at all stages were held on the fields of clubs from the lower leagues. If there were teams from the same league, the owner was determined by the results of the draw.

Miscellaneous
For the draws of the 1st and 2nd stages, it was decided to use the cabin using the wind tunnel effect. A girl stood in it and caught notes with the names of the participating clubs. Several times she could not cope with the task. The online broadcast caused a storm of indignation over the results of the draw and the appearance of the girl herself. An apology was made, the results were annulled, the concept of the draw was changed and it was postponed to April 19.
