Born in the village of Tilyalyanovka, Shapkinsky district, Tambov region. In 1942-1944 he worked on the farm "Red Star", in 1944-1947 he served in the Red Army . After demobilization - the foreman of the field crew on the farm "Red Star".

In 1950, he moved to the village of Romanovka, Romanovsky district, worked as an accountant, tanker, deputy chairman of livestock on the collective farm named after Kalinin.

From 1958 to 1979, the foreman of the tractor and field crew of the collective farm named after XIX party congress of the Engels district. One of the first to switch to a non-contractual accordion-bonus pay system.

He was elected a delegate to the III All-Russian Congress of Collective Farmers and was a member of the Union Council of Collective Farmers.

For high performance indicators awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor. He was awarded the silver medal of VDNH .

In 1975, the USSR State Prize was awarded for outstanding achievements in obtaining high and sustainable grain crops on the basis of continuous improvement of land fertility, the effective use of the achievements of science, technology and new forms of labor organization.

He died in 1979.
