Born November 13, 1943 in Athens, the daughter of Robert Batis ( Robert Batis , 1916-2011) and his wife Anna Dosti ( Anna Dosti , 1922-2010); Sister Betty Roumeliotis.

Katarina studied in Athens and Lausanne. Then she studied business at the University of Denver ( Colorado ) and the ( Texas ). She worked for several years in business in the United States.

November 25, 1962 Katarina married Jack Walter Andrews ( Jack Walter Andrews , 1933-2013). In this marriage, she had two children: David and Alison. She traveled a lot, lived in Australia and Africa. Divorced Jack Andrews on December 7, 1984. She met her second husband in Washington , DC, in 1984. They married in London on September 20, 1985, and the next day they married in the Orthodox Church St. Sava Serbian in Notting Hill . Their best man was King Constantine II , and the Crown Prince of Yugoslavia Tomislav Karageorgievich was a witness.

Katarina Karageorgievich is involved in charity work, especially after the conflict in the former Yugoslavia . She works in the field of humanitarian assistance and is the patron of various humanitarian organizations, including the Lifeline Humanitarian Organization , SOS – Appeal for Life and United Orthodox Aid . In 2001, she founded the Fond NJ.KV Princeze Katarine Foundation in Belgrade to expand her charitable activities.

Only in 1991, members of the Karageorgievich dynasty were allowed to come to Yugoslavia. July 17, 2001, after Serbia became independent, Katarina, together with her husband and children: Peter , Philip and Alexander , settled in the Royal Palace in Belgrade . But the crown princes prefer to live in the West. [2]

Katarina Karageorgievich speaks Greek, English, French, Spanish and Serbian. He is interested in music, reading, cooking, theater and cross-country skiing.

Titles and Awards

  • Since September 20, 1985, has been holding the title Her Royal Highness the Crown Princess of Serbia and Yugoslavia .
