Content
History
It was founded in 1650 [2] . In the 1868 List of Populated Places of the Russian Empire, the settlement is mentioned as the factory village of Polomoshna ( Palamoshna ) of the Tomsk District (2nd section) on the Tom River and the Taymenka River, located 90 versts from the provincial city of Tomsk . There were 84 yards in the village and 467 people lived (217 men and 250 women). There was an Orthodox chapel [3] .
In 1911, in the village of Polomoshnaya , which was part of the Tutal volost of the Tomsk district, there were 196 yards and 1029 people lived (513 men and 516 women). There were a prayer house, a parish school, four manufactory and five small shops, five forges, a rens cellar, two flour mills, a state-owned wine shop, a tavern, a tea, beer, and a bakery, two shops selling agricultural implements and a bazaar that runs along Mondays [4] .
According to 1926, there were 375 households and 1,648 people lived (mostly Russians). Administratively, the village was the center of the Polomoshinsky Village Council and the Polomoshinsky District of the Tomsk District of the Siberian Territory [2] .
Geography
The village is located in the northwestern part of the Kemerovo Region, in the southeastern part of the West Siberian Plain , on the right bank of the Tom River, near the confluence of the Talmenka River, at a distance of about 28 kilometers (in a straight line) to the southwest of the urban village type Yashkino , the administrative center of the district. The absolute height is 113 meters above sea level [5] .

According to the 2010 All-Russian Population Census, men accounted for 47.1% of the gender structure of the population, and 52.9% of women, respectively.

According to the 2002 census , Russians accounted for 95% of the 1,751 people in the national population structure. [7]

The village has a secondary school [8] , a kindergarten, a medical outpatient clinic (structural unit of the Yashkinsky district hospital) [9] , a cultural center [10] , a library, a bus station and a post office of Russia .
