Content
History
- The station was opened in 1890 [1] .
- During the Great Patriotic War , in July 1944 , the Stefanesti station became one of the venues for imitating actions (unloading tanks and artillery and moving equipment from unloading areas to concentration areas) in order to mislead the enemy - the German-Romanian group of forces - regarding the direction of the main strike preparing the Iasi-Chisinau operation [3] . These actions were crowned with complete success [4] .

- Zalishchyky - Kolomyia (one pair per day);
- Chernivtsi - Stefanesti (two pairs per day).
In addition, at the neighboring Zalishchyky station, you can transfer to a diesel train via the Ternopol - Zalishchyky line .

Since the beginning of 2019 , Ukrzaliznytsia has been considering the possibility of extending the Lviv - Chernivtsi regional express train to Chertkov station, which, if a positive decision is made, will stop at Stefanesti station [5] .
