Content
Geography
It is located in the southern part of the Luzhitsky Lakes region to the southeast of the administrative center of the Osling commune on the eastern shore of the Wolki Gat pond.
Neighboring settlements: in the northeast - the village of Sulscheci (included in the city borders of the city of Wittichenau ), in the southeast - the village of Shunov in the commune of Ralbits-Rosenthal , in the west - the village of Debrici and in the northwest - the village of Skaskov [2] .
History
First mentioned in 1374 under the name Matei Tradow [3] .
Until 1969 it was the center of the commune of the same name, from 1969 to 1994 it was part of the Skaska-Dobra commune. Since 1994, it has been part of the modern commune of Osling [4] .

Population
According to the statistical work “Dodawki k statisticy a etnografiji łužickich Serbow” by Arnost Muki, in 1884, 96 people lived in the village (96 of them were Serbluzhichans (100%)) [6] .
The Luzhitsky demographer Arnosht Chernik in his essay Die Entwicklung der sorbischen Bevölkerung indicates that in 1956, with a total population of 112 people, the Serbluzhitsky population of the village was 33% (of which 28 adults and 9 minors were fluent in Upper Luzhitsky) [7] .
