Faizov, Salikhzyan Halimovich

Salikhzyan Halimovich Faizov was born into a peasant family on January 5, 1926 in the village of Elkhovoe Ozero, Tsilninsky District , Ulyanovsk Region ). After graduating from high school, he began working as a fireman in the mine, and then in the mine "Prokopyevsk-ugoltrest" as a miner.

In 1950, he began working as a tractor driver , then as a foreman of a tractor brigade .

In 1964, he began to work as a link of a complex mechanized link for the cultivation of sugar beets , grain and leguminous crops of the Volga collective farm in the Tsilninsky district of the Ulyanovsk Region.

Salikhzyan Halimovich Faizov was the initiator of the socialist competition for the integrated cultivation of row crops in the region, created a school of excellence for the mechanics of the region.

On April 8, 1971, by the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR for outstanding achievements in the development of agriculture and the implementation of the five-year plan for the sale of agricultural products to the state, Faizov Salikhzyan Halimovich was awarded the high title of Hero of Socialist Labor with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Medal "Hammer and Sickle."

In 1986 he retired, is an honorary citizen of the Ulyanovsk region (1998).

He was a delegate to the III All-Union Congress of Collective Farmers in 1969, a member of the Tsilninsky District Committee of the CPSU, a deputy of the Ulyanovsk Regional Council of Workers' Deputies.
