Description

Small parasitic riders (about 3 mm). It differs from similar species by its bristly forehead and crown, black third tergite and yellow tergites T1 and T2, reticulate-wrinkled mesoscut, smooth propodeum around the spiracles, smooth forehead and cheeks. Ovipositor short, setae on top only; hypopygium short and sclerotized, the body is roughly sculpted (except for the head). Antenna flagellum 16-segmented. The mandibular palps are 5-segmented, the lower labial palps composed of 3 segments. The respiratory tract of the first abdominal tergite is located on laterothergites. Supposedly parasitic on caterpillars of butterflies [3] [1] [4] [5] [6] .
