Bill Hunter ( born February 27, 1940 , Ballarat , Australia - d. May 21, 2011 , Kew (a suburb of Melbourne , Australia) is an Australian character actor . Since 1996, he has been an honorary member of the Australian Cinematographer's Society Society ).

Career
He began acting in films since the 1960s, in total, starred in more than 100 films and television projects. Best known for supporting roles in such films as The Mad Dog of Morgan , Gallipoli , Strictly by the Rules , On the Last Bank , and The Red Dog . He also took part in scoring the famous animated films “ Finding Nemo ” and “ Legends of the Night Watch ”.
Personal life
Hunter's first marriage was with Robbie Anderson and lasted from 1963 to 1973, the couple had a son James Hunter. In 1976, he married actress Pat Bishop. [2] According to the writer Bob Ellis, the marriage was very short-lived because Hunter escaped from the wedding [3] . The third time, Bill Hunter married the artist Rode Roberts, they lived in marriage from 1993 to 1999 [4] .
Death
On May 15, 2011, Bill Hunter, suffering from liver cancer , refused hospitalization and was placed in the Caritas Christi hospice in a suburb of Melbourne [5] . [6] May 21, 2011, at the age of 71, Bill Hunter passed away [7] [8] .
