El Qabo ( Arabic: القبو ) is a small town in western Syria located in the Homs governorate. It is part of the Tell Du district. It is the center of the same name Nakhi.

Geographical position
The city is located in the northwestern part of the governorate, west of the Al-Asi river, east of the Jebel Khelu ridge, at an altitude of 508 meters above sea level [1] .
El Qabo is located approximately 20 kilometers north-east of Homs , the provincial capital, and 142 kilometers north-north-east (NNE) of Damascus , the country's capital.
Population
According to the 2004 official census, the population of the city was 4870 people (2440 men and 2430 women). There were 844 households [2] . Alavites predominate in the confessional composition of the population [3] .

The nearest civilian airport is Basil Al-Assad International Airport [1] .
