Geographical position
The village is located in the western part of Chad, north of Lake Chad , at an altitude of 269 meters above sea level [1] . The village is located at a distance of approximately 187 kilometers northwest of the country's capital N'Djamena .
Climate
The climate of the village is characterized as arid hot ( BWh in the Köppen climate classification ). The average annual temperature is 27.4 ° C. The average temperature of the coldest month (January) is 21.3 ° С, the hottest month (May) is 31.7 ° С. The estimated long-term rainfall is 258 mm. During the year, the amount of precipitation is unevenly distributed, the bulk of them falls from May to October. Most precipitation falls in August (125 mm) [2] .
