Biography
Zhou Xiuhua was born on December 8, 1966.
The first serious success at the adult international level was achieved in the 1986 season, when she joined the main team of the Chinese national team and visited the Asian Games in Seoul , from where she brought the golden dignity award won in the standings of the four-way steering gear.
Thanks to a series of successful performances, she won the right to defend the honor of the country at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul . As part of the crew of eight, which also included rowers Yang Xiao , Zhang Yali , He Yanwen , Han Yacin , Zhou Shouying , Hu Yadong , Zhang Xianghua and helmsman Li Ronghua , in the decisive final round came to the finish third behind the crews from the GDR and Romania - thereby winning a bronze Olympic medal.
