Story

Production
Development
On January 12, 2017, the show was extended for the eighth season and ninth season [2] , while Ryan Murphy said that the ninth season would be the crossover season [3] , but in June 2018 he announced that he had chosen the eighth season [4] . On April 10, 2019, Murphy announced in his Instagram account that the ninth season will be released under the title “1984” [5] . On July 11, Ryan Murphy in his Instagtam account published character teasers of characters.
Filming
The filming process of season 9 began in July 2019.
Casting
On February 6, 2019, Ryan Murphy announced the appearance in the ninth season of Emma Roberts and Gus Kenworthy. [6] On April 2, the “veteran” of the series Evan Peters confirmed that this year he will not return to the show [7] , thus the ninth season will be the first in which the actor does not take part.
