Title

The title reflects a change in the living standards of the villagers with the advent of Soviet power .

History

According to 1933, the village of New Life was part of the Ryndelsky village council of the Mginsky district [2] .

According to data from 1966 and 1973, the village of Novy Byt was subordinate to the Shumsky village council of the Volkhov district [3] [4] .

According to 1990, the village of New Life was part of the Shumsky village council of the Kirov region [5] .

In 1997, 291 people lived in the village of Novy Byt, Shumsky volost, in 2002 - 265 people (Russians - 93%) [6] [7] .

In 2007, 238 people lived in the village of Novy Byt Shumsky SP , in 2010 - 206 [8] [9] .

Geography

It is located in the eastern part of the district near the Novy Byt railway station on the 41K-238 highway ( Voybokalo - Novy Byt).

The distance to the administrative center of the settlement is 9 km [8] .

The village borders the lands of the Voybokalsky district forestry of the Kirov forestry - a branch of LOGU Lenobles [10] .
