Biography

He was born on October 12, 1930 in the village of Old Ibraikino , part of the Aksubaevsky district of the TASSR. His parents were believers, for their beliefs they were persecuted by the authorities - the father of Gabdulhak for repudiation of joining the collective farm was repressed and died in custody [2] .

Since childhood, trying to follow the laws of Sharia , Gabdulhak consistently upheld his beliefs, he was not an October student and a pioneer , he did not join the Komsomol [1] [2] .

In 1951 he was drafted into the army, then worked as a driver. Even being in the army, he observed religious precepts and regularly performed prayers . Along with the work, he continued the study of Islam. One of his teachers was Gabdulhak Sadykov (also known as Sadyikov) [1] [2] .

Several times he tried to graduate from Miri Arab madrasah , which he entered with Talgat Tajuddin , but all attempts, due to opposition from the authorities, ended unsuccessfully. The last time he was expelled in 1968 after he refused to cooperate with the KGB . Not even the intercession of the Muftis of Shakir Khiyaletdinov and Shamsiddinkhan Babakhanov helped [1] [2] .

In 1972, he became the imam of the village of Kayan located in the Perm Region, but due to disagreements with the local authorities, after 3 months he was forced to return to Kazan, where his family lived. After that, he worked as a mechanic at the Mardzhani Mosque , the only Kazan mosque that was functioning at that time. There he met with the Imams Gabdelhabir Yarullin and Ahmadzaki Safiullin . In 1981 he became an imam, headed mosques in Almetyevsk, Orenburg, as well as the Chistopol mosque. In 1990, together with Ishaq Lutfullin [3] . Kazan Higher Muslim Madrasah. He taught there, at the same time he was the imam of the Mardjani mosque. In 1998 he was elected the chief cadi of the TUM of Tatarstan [1] [2] .

Died March 6, 2006 from heart disease. Dzhanazu over the deceased was personally committed by Talgat Tajuddin [1] [2] .

He was buried in the Tatar cemetery of Kazan [4] .

In memory of Gabdulhak Samatov, the Samatov Readings are held in Tatarstan [5] .

Personal life

He was married with four children [2] . The son of Gabdulhak Tagir Samatov is a mufti of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug-Ugra [1] .
