Biography
Born January 15, 1990 in Madanz Bugimba ( Rwanda ). Originally a Tutsi , he remained an orphan during the Tutsi genocide in Rwanda in 1994 and was evacuated by the French army. In France, he was adopted by a married couple from the village of Pludyuno in the department of Côte d'Armor. In a foster family, he became the youngest of five children of a working father and a mother laboratory assistant in the hospital.
After graduating from Le Cordelier High School in Dinan and Ernest Renan Lyceum in Saint-Brieuc , he continued his studies at the Institute for Political Studies in Lille, and then at the London School of Economics and Political Science , where he received a master's degree in economic history.
Specializing in macroeconomics, as part of an international volunteer initiative, in 2013, Herve Berville worked at the French Development Agency (AFD) in Maputo ( Mozambique ) as an economist for relations with regional economic services. In 2016, Kenya served as head of the Stanford University Summer School for Developing Countries. Since September 2017, Herve Berville has been a member of the AFD Board of Directors.
Since the fall of 2015, Herve Berville became an activist in the youth movement in support of the nomination of Emmanuel Macron as a presidential candidate in France. Upon his return to Brittany in December 2016, he began to promote Macron's economic program in the region.
In the 2017 National Assembly election , Herve Berville became a candidate for the Forward, Republic! ”In the 2nd constituency of the Department of Côte d'Armor and won in the 2nd round. At the National Assembly, he became a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee and press secretary of the LaREM parliamentary group. He is a close associate of the famous Breton politician, chairman of the National Assembly, Richard Ferrand .
