History
The first mention of the village (at that time - a farm) dates back to 1795. The farm belonged to the Alekseevskaya patrimony of Count Nikolai Petrovich, and then his son Dmitry Nikolaevich Sheremetev. "
In 1859 - in the Biryuchensky district "the owner's farm Shcherbakov (Grechanikov) with a screwdriver Kobyly ravine", "on the right side of the large postal route from Biryuch to Ostrogozhsk" - 97 yards, 725 residents (348 men, 377 women). .
It is mentioned in the Memorial Book of the Voronezh Province for 1887 as the "settlement of Shcherbakov" of the Shcherbakov volost of the Biryuchensky district. The number of residents of both sexes is 694, the number of yards is 111.
