Biography

Igor Lazarevich Lazarev was born on September 11, 1933 in Kharkov. Father - actor and director Lazar Arkadevich Lazarev (Nemkovsky) .

1953 - graduated from the Voronezh College of Music .
1956 - graduated from the Geological Department of Voronezh State University .
1962 - graduated from the philological faculty of Voronezh State University.
1961-1964 - editor-in-chief of the Voronezh television studio.
1973-1975 - artistic director of the regional philharmonic society.
1977 - candidate of philological sciences;
- Thesis: “The Modern Life of Russian Folk Songs of the Pre-October Period” ^[1] .

Led student folklore expeditions on the territory of the Voronezh region ^[2] .

Died June 3, 1997 in Voronezh.

Scientific Interests

The modern life of traditional Russian folklore,
- mainly - Voronezh folk songs.
