Champion of Brazil 1960 and 1961

Champion of the State of Ceara 1952 and 1960

In 1960 and 1963 represented Brazil in zonal tournaments .

Member of the Judicial College of Chess Olympiads in 1972 and 1986. Chief Justice of the Youth World Cup 1978 [1]

Vice-President of the Confederation of Chess of Brazil (1970-1976).

President of the FIDE South American Zone (1974-1978).

He is the author of a number of chess articles in O O Povo and Diário do Nordeste (1979-1989).

Graduate of the Law Department of the Federal University of Ceara (1952). Bank of Brazil employee.

The elder brother of the international master E. Camara . Nephew of Archbishop E. Camara .
