Pediada ( dr. Greek Πεδιὰς ) is a female character in ancient Greek mythology .
The daughter of Menitus of Lacedaemon , wife of Cranai , king of Athens . Mother of Kranai , Kranekhma and Attida [1] .
Pseudo-Apollodorus , according to the "Encyclopedia of Classical Greco-Roman Mythology" by V. Obnorsky :
After the death of Kekrops, the autochthon of Kranai reigned. Under him, as they say, a flood occurred, which is associated with the name of Deucalion . Having married Pediad, the daughter of Menitus, who came from Lacedaemon, he gave birth to Kranay, Kranekhma and Attida. The latter died as a girl, and Kranai called the country Attida.
