Biography
Fukushi Otiai was born on August 20, 1987 in the family of a professional baseball player , in the future a member of the baseball hall of fame of Japan , Chiromitsu Otiai [1] . Like his father, Otiai was fond of baseball since childhood, but at the end of high school he decided to abandon his sports career. Later, Fukushi explained his choice to become a voice actor with the impression of the Japanese dubbing of the film " Terminator ", which his father showed him [2] .
Fukushi graduated from the Faculty of Asian Studies ΧΧΙ century Kokushikan University [3] . Fukushi played his first role in 2009, voicing a cameo in the game Yakuza 4 [4] , after which he completed two-year acting courses at the Amusement Media Academy [3] . In 2015, he joined the Aoni Production agency [3] . Otiyai's full debut as a professional seiyu took place in 2015, where he voiced several episodic characters in the anime series Seiyu's Life! [3] . From the same year, he began work on the Tokyo channel TBS TV , where he acts as an announcer in various programs [3] .
At the end of 2018, for the main role of Natsunosuke Bond in the film adaptation of the baseball manga Gurazeni Otiai was awarded the Seiyu Awards in the category "Best Beginner Actor" [5] .
