Biography

Son of Prince Semyon Dmitrievich Drutsky . He used to call himself Prince Zubrevitsky after the name of the town of Zubrevytsi that belonged to him on the Ulianets River in Orsha povet, where his main manor was. The sources are referred to as Prince Mitko Sekira, or Mitko Zubrevitsky ( dux Mithko filius Syemoni ducis Druschnensis ; knіаź Mitko Zubrewicki ).

In 1425, King Vladislav Yagello granted him 60 hryvnia from the Peremyshl and Dorogobuzh saltworks and Lvov taxes, and in 1427 he transferred the estates Khlopy, Vangerche, Kakolovich, Komarno in Grodno povet and Klitschko in Shchuchinsky , with a total cost of 300 hryvnia, under the condition of military service in Russian lands of the Polish Kingdom.

In the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, the city of Oster , Gorodets Osterrsky and the lands dependent on them in Kiev land (Chernin, Bodenkovitsy, Vypolzy, etc.) received from Vitovt and Sigismund Keistutovich , the estate in Bykhov and Dobosnu yard to the south-west of it, as well as tributaries in Turts in Orsha povet. The prince bequeathed these lands, as well as Himy, Zubrewitz and the empty Dubrovensk land, to his wife and daughter, who later transferred them to her grandson Olbraht Martinovich Gashtold.

Dmitry Zubrevitsky was the governor of the extensive Oster volost on the left bank of the Dnieper . In the civil war he fought on the side of Svidrigail ; according to the Chronicles of Bykhovtsa together with his brother Vasily Krasny was captured by Sigismund in the Oshmyany battle on December 8, 1432. Subsequently, he reconciled with Sigismund and recognized his authority.

On March 24, 1470, Casimir IV confirmed for the widow Dmitry the possession of all of his Lithuanian lands.
